Our camping trip to Heber Springs AR

This is what we did when we went camping. Oh I'm sorry this is what everyone else did when we all went camping. I couldn't do much but stay behind the camera and take the pictures. I was and still am hurting a lot from my surgery. I guess I really wasn't even supposed to be there, but staying in the house for to long can drive anyone insane. Christy, Shawn, Skyler and Austin left Friday morning and Doug drove his motor cycle after work that night. Justin and I left Saturday morning in Doug's truck. Josh and Katie left Saturday morning also. When we all finally got there it was fun watching Katie and Josh put up there tent with only one tent pole and one tent stake.They eventually had to go to wal-mart and get a new tent. Later on everyone went swimming and hiking, but not all of us went repelling. We walked over to the fishing marina and feed the big huge carp. Justin and Skyler were sticking there feet in to see if the fish would suck on there toes,but i think there feet stunk to bad. LOL We ate a lot of hot dogs and sandwiches. I guess they would have starved if i didn't show up. I brought hamburger meat and made sloppy joes and I also brought chili and we made chili dogs. Okay they might not have starved but there food would have just been plan. The boys made lots of camp fires and they cooked lots of marshmallows and graham crackers. Skyler and Austin cought a horn toad lizard. They played with it for two days and by the time they were done I don't think that the lizard had much of a tail left (that poor lizard). Justin chopped up a lot of wood and kept the fire going. He's such a good boy scout.There probably is enough wood there for another week of camping. And while we were camping if it wasn't for my mom and dad we would have been soak and wet or even blown away. They called and told us that there were severe storms headed our way. I'm so glad for parents cause the park rangers never even told us. Thank God that the storm wasn't all that bad where we were and it went around us for the most part. All in all I would say that everyone had a good time. These are all of the pictures and video's that I took while we were camping. I hope y'all enjoy looking at them.

First one to the top wins

The bumble bee

Christy and I stayed on the bottom of the cliff, but we walked around so that we could watch everybody repel down. We got around to the side and low and behold a bumble bee was watching us. The darn thing wouldn't leave so we had to move cause I nor Christy wanted to get stung. Those things are big.

When everybody but Christy and I climbed up to the top of the cliff. Doug tied the rope and threw it over and then sent Justin down first to see if the rope would hold everybody. Justin got all the way to the bottom and ran out of rope. Thank goodness that there was a little ledge for him to get to right before the bottom. My baby's so brave he makes me nervous, but it's funny cause he's braver then Josh.

Doug repelled second and when he got all the way down he had to go all the way back up.

Joshua was so scared it was kind of funny. Josh reminds me so much of my big brother. He thinks he's so cool and never scared of nothing. Josh was freaking out the whole way down until the end then he was playing around I think or maybe he really couldn't get back up straight. LOL

Josh and Christy were watching Doug,Shawn and Katie come down from the top of the cliff. Christy was frecking out the whole time Shawn was up there. She told Doug that if Shawn falls off and dies that he's going to have to pay for her to raise her baby. Doug told Shawn that he better be very careful. LOL

Justin the last one down

Last one down is a rotten egg!

I guess That I (Mindy) was the rotten egg cause I was the last one down. Poor Justin, he carried the bag with the repelling rope and harnesses in it up to the top and then he had to carry it down. Josh told Justin if he carried it up that he would carry it down but it doesn't look like that happened. Justin was the first and the last to repel so when he got done repelling he had to climb back up to the top and get the rope and while he was at the top Josh and Katie took off down the mountain.

Christy and the boys found this turtle at the bottom of the mountain. I just wonder if he had ever made it to the top?

The last morning "wake up you sleepy heads"

Doug and Justin being lazy on the last day. It is not normal for me to be up before Doug so I had to take a picture. Now I need to frame it.
Skyler and Austin sleeping in. They were so tired. They have really played hard this weekend. They got to sleep on the water floats the last night instead of the ground. I know they liked that, but I think there heads kept getting stuck under the float pillow.

I would like to say that Justin did a good job with just a little bit of help from the charcoal liter fluid. See my boys never needed boy scouts.

Doug repelling off Sugar Loaf Mountain

Doug's repelling with a nylon rope witch isn't made for repelling and the goofy thing didn't even have enough rope to get all the way to the bottom. I didn't get a video of Justin or Josh coming down but they made it thank goodness.

Katie asked me if I erased the first video and of course I would never do that. You can see all the help that they have around them. Oh I just love camping and watching every one else help!

Justin is a strange kid he likes to make weird faces from both ends. This was when we were camping Memorial weekend in Heber Springs AR. I'm glad that Skyler didn't bring his breakfast back up after seeing Justin. LOL

This is Katie and Josh trying to put there tent up. They have no tent stakes and one tent post. They had put the post in and found another post but it went to something else. Why I call this take one is because after a few minutes of fooling with the tent Katie desides to go to wal-mart and buy another tent. There so cute together.

Toads of my pond

These are the toads of my pond. I seen them there the other day. But now there gone. I guess there done doing what they were doing and moved on to another pond. I know I have a frog somewhere but he or she must have been covering it's eyes while the toads were in there. LOL
